My skin is definitely on the glo-up! *begins happy dance* And I have these products to thank, along with my consistency (kind of lol). Here is my current skin regimen!
Cleanse with SheaMoisture beauty bar.
I absolutely love this soap! It's definitely both moisturizing and cleansing. Many of the products are oils and butters, so my sensitive skin will not suffer. SheaMoisture beauty bars come in different scents with different objectives. I've tried the shea butter bar (in pictures), the lavender bar and the African black soap bar (my favorite). I absolutely love what these bars have done for my skin. Not to mention, these bars are huge, so they last for a long time!
Exfoliate (not everyday) with Simple Smoothing Facial Scrub or Biore Charcoal Pore Minimizer.
The Simple skincare line is ideal for sensitive skin. Their products are unscented and do not contain harsh chemicals. The smoothing scrub is very gentle, and can be worked into the skin without causing redness. I usually use it in the morning to wake me up if I am super drowsy, or to get an extra clean feeling.
The Biore scrub, I usually use at night, but sometimes in the morning as well. It is lightly scented, and is gentle to the skin as well. I use this in the shower, after cleansing my skin. I leave it in for a few minutes and then rinse it off. It leaves my skin moisturized and soft.
Apply Lush Mask of Magnamity (not everyday) leave on for 5 to 8 minutes.
Anytime I am suffering from a breakout I use this mask. It has a minty scent with a tingly sensation on the skin. Because it is a little messy to wash off I make sure to use at night, and when I wake up in the morning my breakout has minimized. It's a refreshing feeling after you rinse it off, and the mint smell does not linger. Lush products are handmade, so harsh chemicals are not within their products. This mask in particular is self-preserving and needs to be refrigerated. The price is a little high, but I've had this product since Christmas, so a little goes a long way. Not to mention, the packaging is adorable!
Apply Neutogena Alcohol Free Toner (daytime).
I make sure to do this every morning after cleansing to rebalance the moisture in my skin. This definitely helps reduce oiliness in my skin. I love this product because it's cheaper, and doesn't have a scent, nor alcohol. It is very gentle to my skin.
Apply a pea-sized amount of Simple Protecting Light Moisturizer SPF15
I love this product because it protects my skin from the sun, and it's not a heavy moisturizer. It's unscented, and has not caused any breakouts to my knowledge.
Apply oils at night when experiencing a breakout, or for extra moisture.
My rule of thumb as it pertains to oil is this: if it works for your scalp,it will most likely do some good to your face. The current oils I'm using are Jason's tea tree oil and Tropic Isle Living black castor oil with rosemary. And yes I use these for my hair as well. Castor oil can help bring moisture and nutrients to the skin. And tea tree oil is usually used for skin irritations, which definitely helps with acne. The tea tree oil has a very specific, strong smell (similar to Pinesol) so you may not be able to handle it. The Jason's brand is pure tea tree oil, which is why the scent is so strong. However, I've used brands that were not 100 percent tea tree oil and was given the same results. Both oils help soothe your skin, and can heal breakouts.
Well that is my current skin regimen!! Have you ever tried these products! How did your skin react?
