Let's stay positive this summer '16! Positive vibes only because we do not have time to become too relaxed and unmotivated. So I'm sharing some ways that I stay positive.
Surround yourself with positive people
This should be a given, but sometimes it's hard to realize that some of the people you're around bring negative energies, until one day you're wondering why you're so down and depressed. Remember there are good and bad vibrations within the company that you keep.
Although it is not everyone's strength, exercising increases your adrenaline. And regardless if you want to or not- you feel freakin' awesome afterwards for the simple fact of taking your health seriously.
Listen to happy music
Most of the time if I'm in a crappy mood, I put on some of my favorite tunes to lift my spirits. I currently have "Coloring Book" by Chance the Rapper and India Arie on my playlist.
Write it out
Of course I have to recommend this as a writer. But writing how you feel down, especially when you're emotionally imbalanced can help you unwind. It's a way of letting everything out without telling anyone.
Sometimes you need to back away from the computer and television and go outside. Even if you're just standing, or going for a walk. Go outside to clear your mind and meditate. Or to take your mind off of your worries.
Eat more foods that will give you an energy boost
Such as fruit and veggies. I usually feel sluggish, and as a result become unproductive when I eat unhealthy foods consistently. So the next time your mood is down, grab a bag of carrots instead of a bag of Flamin' Hots.
Clean your room
I'm not sure if it's just me but anytime my room is cluttered it is because my mind is cluttered. A clean room can help influence a clear mind. Try it, it definitely helps!
