I don't know if it's something in the weather, or what, but the devil has been trying to work! *In my motherly voice* But for whatever reason I've been able to cope more than normal to these changes happening in my life. And I want to share with you why you can't let any unfortunate situations steal your joy.
A moment is not equal to a lifetime
Although a moment's decision can impact your entire life, most unfortunate situations will not. I try to allow myself to sulk in my reactive emotions to the situation at hand, but only momentarily. Because man can I go on, and on! Especially, when it comes to mistreatment from other people. Allow yourself to react, then try to move on as fast as you can.
What if it's a test?
Stay with me now. Have you ever stopped to think that maybe the situation is actually God testing your faith? Most things worth getting, are not easily obtained, so why would you think that there wouldn't be some trials/tribulations during your journey?
I realize that God was actually keeping me for something better.
You don't want to limit what God can actually do
What I've noticed is that a lot of situations that unfold in my life may have come about due to God keeping me from receiving certain opportunities. And at the moment, I get upset and question everything. Then time passes, and I realize that God was actually keeping me for something better.
But in order to come to these realizations, you have to make sure you're not sulking for too long! I know, it's definitely easier said than done, but just give it a try.
