A couple of months ago I bought a new lipstick from Ulta Beauty. My interest in makeup was steadily growing at the time. I already wore foundation, eyeliner, mascara and concealer; I knew how to highlight and contour my face- and I thought that having great lipstick would be the next step to improving my “beat-face” skills. I inquired to my friends about good and affordable lipstick brands. All of them informed me that NYX Cosmetics had great lipstick and I could purchase them from Ulta. I researched colors for my complexion and learned that the popular colors to have in one’s makeup collection are: red, nude, pink, and some variation of a dark color.
For the past month I have been consistently wearing NYX's Soft Matte Lip Cream in the colors "Cannes," "Prague," and "Abu Dhabi." These are the first lip creams that I have ever tried, and I am immensely impressed by them. Here are my pros and cons to this lip formula!
Let me be honest, I didn't used to be a blush girl because I thought only white women could wear it. Which of course, was a huge misconception. More and more, beauty companies are taking women of all skin tones into consideration when creating their products- blush included. So it is more than possible to find the perfect shade(s) of blush for you, Queen.
Hay Queen! has been on such a hiatus, so there are tons of things for us to catch up on! Over the past few months, the weather has become more fall appropriate. And with that, I have accumulated a few favorite products that range from hair, skin and makeup. Here are a few products that I have been loving lately!
How can I prevent my makeup from looking oily in the summer?
Normally oily makeup is due to oily skin. You should always follow through with your skincare regimen before applying foundation. Try to use products that cater to oily skin. Also, set your makeup. You can do this by using a loose or pressed powder. You may also use a blot powder or blot sheets to help remove oil from your skin throughout the day. One other solution ( which may seem unconventional ) is Milk of Magnesia. I know, I know...weird however, I had a client how sword by b it. She had really oily skin and to keep the oil at bay, she put the Milk of Magnesia on prior to me applying makeup. During the wedding and for photos she had no problems.
I went to BeautyConDallas!!!!!!! *Does happy dance* Since hearing about BeautyConLA I have been wanting to attend this event. As a lover of beauty, blogging and networking I told myself a year ago that I would attend BeautyCon this year somehow, and sure enough I did. Such a blessing!
Confession time: I may have an obsession with lipsticks! Although, I do not wear bold colors on a daily basis, when I do have the opportunity, it's automatic playtime! Here is my lipstick collection so far! Check it out!

Everyone aims to achieve that "no-makeup" makeup look. It's suitable for everyday occasions and enhances your beauty as opposed to covering it. So here is how I achieve my everyday makeup.
*Caution: I am not a makeup artist, this is just my everyday makeup regimen.
