I finally gathered up the courage to install my own faux locs! I've been wearing them for the past 2 weeks and I've received compliments and so many questions. Which is crazy because u think I did a pretty bash job, but that's a different story.
Let's start with my inspiration.
The beautiful Megan Good! She revealed her faux locs in May and they are absolutely stunning. A smaller-sized version of the protective style made her faux locs look more realistic, and was enough for me to want them myself.
As you can see, the style is absolutely gorgeous. I knew how to achieve the style because my sister installed her own faux locs. And knowing of its lengthy process, I knew I could not go for the small size, but a larger size because of my time crunch. So I looked up larger-sized faux locs.
And of course mine did not turn out like either of the two. I completely forgot to wrap the Marley hair while tightening at the same time, and many of locs were loose. However, I have still received so many compliments on my hair. Apparently they look realistic. I'm pleased with the results, but wish I would've done them correctly to extend their longevity. I've had these in since May 16, I probably will only keep them for 1 month, sadly.
So let's get to these pros and cons, shall we?
And there you have it! Faux locs in a summary. Hopefully you Queens can follow directions better than me!
Have you tried faux locs?
